Is God Real?

Hard Evidence in the Tabernacle of Moses

One of the most googled searches on the internet is the question “Is God real?”  The number of inquiries for this question is off the charts. This demonstrates that there are many people out there who are looking for solid answers about the reality of God.

That is the first question, but the second question to naturally follow would be “If God is real, how can we know who He is?”  The numerous religious literatures that are in the world definitely have a way of clouding this issue. Is there a means by which we can verify the divine inspiration of such writings?

Fortunately, there is a way. The trick is in figuring out how to best differentiate the true Scriptures of God from the numerous other religious writings that are out there. That which comes from God would be special above all other works of religious literature. Within its pages should be out of the ordinary evidences of knowledge and insights which no one could have created apart from divine intelligence.

There is one such work of religious literature – namely the Holy Bible. In the Bible are statements concerning nature and science that demonstrate advanced knowledge – far beyond the level of knowledge of the time of the writings. It contains advanced medical and sanitation knowledge. This is knowledge that is thousands of years ahead of its time. Evidences found in history and archeology consistently verify the various details of The Bible.

There are even very complex mathematical patterns and codes hidden under the biblical text. The Bible is thousands of years old, and yet, it conceals a mathematical pattern which boggles the mind – even by today’s high tech standards. Only God could have done it.

Another really important evidence of the divine inspiration of the Bible is made apparent by way of fulfilled prophecy, which is yet another overwhelming proof of God’s existence – for only He (who knows the end from the beginning) can predict detailed events yet to come. There are numerous prophecies scattered throughout the Scriptures.

The most notable of these concern Jesus Christ. There are prophecies concerning His birth, ministry, sufferings, death and resurrection. And all of these were very specific in description. Such as these are what I refer to as “open prophecies” – due to the fact that such prophecies are relatively easy to recognize, as they plainly layout events in a way that practically screams “prophecy.”  Open prophecies are already powerful evidences of God’s existence within themselves, but it is the phenomenon of what I call “hidden prophecies” that really proves the point.

The term “hidden prophecies” refers to prophecies that are not plainly visible on the surface of the text, but upon closer examination it becomes apparent that they are there – although hidden in plain sight. The best example of this in the Bible, in my opinion, is what is known as the Tabernacle of Moses. The Tabernacle was a God ordained place of worship used by the people of Israel during there 40 years in the wilderness.

God actually gave Moses very detailed instructions regarding the construction, use, and maintenance of the Tabernacle and all that was in it. Hidden within all of these instructions are layer upon layer of prophecies about Jesus Christ and all that He would later accomplish. The fact that these numerous and very cleverly concealed prophecies of Christ (1500 years in advance of His arrival) were hidden in plain sight serves as very powerful proof of God’s existence.

So, there are many ways by which we are able to prove the existence of God and answer the question “Is God Real?” We offer one of those means by way of the teachings in The Tabernacle Series.
